The FDA has approved an expanded indication for Med-El cochlear implants for children seven months and older with bilateral sensorineural hearing loss.
Results of Med-El’s feasibility study on the Totally Implantable Cochlear Implant (TICI) show hearing performance is comparable to traditional cochlear implants while offering enhanced convenience and discretion by eliminating external components.
The maps the research team created using the synchrotron could make a huge difference to the sound quality of cochlear implants.
SAMBA 2 is compatible with both versions of the BONEBRIDGE Bone Conduction Implant, the BCI 601 and BCI 602. BONEBRIDGE bone conduction implants are also engineered to be compatible with future generations of audio processors.
