ACI Alliance is accepting abstract submissions for its upcoming clinical research conference, CI2026 Chicago: Conference on Cochlear Implants in Children and Adults.
The House of Representatives passed “HR 5561, the Early Hearing Detection and Intervention Act of 2021,” on a 410-17 vote. The bill would reauthorize the Early Hearing Detection and Intervention (EHDI) programs at the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and the National Institutes of Health (NIH), the ACI Alliance said in its announcement.
ACI Alliance says the conversion factor adjustment will lead to an estimated 7% cut for audiologists and 9% cut for speech-language pathologists, and that telecare for cochlear implant users should be added to the CMS list of expanded telehealth services.
The CI2019 Pediatric Symposium will assemble a multi-specialty group of clinicians and scientists to explore the 2019 Program Theme: Treating the Whole Child.
