Spangler succeeds Donna Sorkin, who served as the ACI Alliance founding executive director for more than 13 years. In a release, the board extended its sincere gratitude to Sorkin for her dedication and lasting contributions, noting that under her leadership, the organization was built from the ground up.

According to the announcement, Spangler brings deep leadership experience and a collaborative, strategic approach that aligns with ACI Alliance goals. The board stated in the release that it is confident she “is well positioned to guide the organization into its next chapter of growth and impact.”

The board is working with both leaders to ensure a smooth transition in the months ahead.

The ACI Alliance is a not-for-profit membership organization focused on eliminating barriers to cochlear implantation through research, awareness, and advocacy for improved access for patients of all ages across the US.
