The Dual AI-powered miniRITE solution joins an expanded Oticon portfolio on the Department of Veterans Affairs contract, offering VA audiologists new tools for fitting veterans with hearing loss.

Oticon‘s Reveal hearing aid — powered by a Dual AI system that simultaneously processes speech and contextual sounds — is now available on the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) contract, the company announced Nov. 2.

The discreet miniRITE solution is designed to provide real-time access to both clear speech and surrounding contextual sounds in optimal balance, guided by research into how the brain processes sound. The addition expands an already broad Oticon VA portfolio and gives VA audiologists access to the company’s latest platform technology for their veteran patient population.

How the Dual AI System Works

Oticon Reveal’s Dual AI system consists of two AI technologies operating simultaneously. Speech AI continuously identifies and enhances clear speech, while Context AI preserves and balances contextual sounds that give speech meaning. Together, the two systems adapt in real time to the user’s dynamic sound environment.

According to Oticon, new research points to a unique “balance point” — an ideal combination of speech and contextual sounds where the brain works best. That balance point shifts continuously from environment to environment and varies from person to person. Reveal’s Dual AI works toward each user’s individual balance point across all environments, all day.

Feedback Management and Connectivity

Oticon Reveal includes Reveal Optimizer, the company’s feedback prevention technology, which is designed to maintain stable gain throughout the day to support consistent Dual AI performance. According to a 2026 Oticon research brief, Reveal Optimizer delivers up to 25 dB more gain than top competitors, enabling always-on Dual AI and expanded fitting freedom.

The device’s 4D Sensor technology combines four types of sensor input — conversation activity, head movement, body movement, and acoustic environment — to support personalization and reduce listening effort and listening stress.

On the connectivity side, Reveal supports Bluetooth LE Audio and Auracast broadcast technology, with direct connections to iPhone, iPad, and Android devices. A new connectivity platform offers enhanced signal strength for improved stability and range during streaming, and an all-day rechargeable battery supports consistent performance.

Oticon CROS RE and Expanded VA Portfolio

Alongside Reveal, Oticon is introducing the CROS RE — a CROS solution with Dual AI technology — compatible with Oticon Reveal and the latest Oticon hardware. Powered by the Reveal AI platform, the rechargeable miniRITE comes in nine colors and uses the same charger as Oticon Reveal.

The broader VA-available portfolio also includes several previously announced products. The expanded Oticon Verit family now includes three zinc-air styles — miniRITE T, miniBTE T 85, and BTE T 105 — with always-on, second-generation AI sound processing and Bluetooth LE Audio.

Oticon Play SI, the pediatric hearing aid family featuring second-generation AI-powered sound processing and user-intent sensors, is now available in two rechargeable styles: a discreet miniRITE R and a versatile miniBTE R with two fitting levels. Oticon Zeal, a rechargeable in-the-ear option, rounds out the portfolio for veterans seeking a more discreet solution, offering dome and mold fitting options.
