The new additions include an in-the-ear rechargeable, a flexible miniBTE R, and a zinc-air miniRITE T model designed for government services audiologists and their patients.

Oticon Inc has expanded its portfolio of hearing solutions available on the Veterans Administration contract, adding Oticon Zeal, Oticon Intent miniBTE R, and Oticon Verit miniRITE T. The new devices are intended to provide government services audiologists with more options to meet the needs of Veterans, US military, and Indian Health patients.

“Oticon is committed to becoming the best partner for Government Services audiologists,” says Mike Marcinek, vice president and general manager of Oticon Government Services and Pediatrics, in a release. “We will continue to introduce game-changing solutions, like the three newest additions to the Oticon portfolio, and to provide the support and services that enable our Government Services partners to provide the best care for their patients.”

New Hearing Solution Details

The Oticon Zeal is a discreet, in-the-ear rechargeable hearing aid that features the company’s BrainHearing technology and second-generation AI sound processing. According to the company, its encapsulation technology fully encloses the hearing aid body for durability. It offers dome and mold options for fitting flexibility.

The new Oticon Intent miniBTE R is a compact, rechargeable behind-the-ear style that joins the existing Intent miniRITE R. Both Intent models feature 4D Sensor-driven technology that uses head and body movements to adapt to the user’s listening environment. The miniBTE R model combines two fitting levels, 85 and 105, which can be assigned in the Oticon Genie 2 fitting software, allowing for one device to fit a wider range of hearing needs.

For patients who prefer non-rechargeable batteries, the Oticon Verit miniRITE T is a new zinc-air battery solution. It provides access to BrainHearing technology, a second-generation Deep Neural Network (DNN 2.0), Wind & Handling Stabilizer, and SuddenSound Stabilizer. The device also supports Bluetooth LE Audio for direct streaming and hands-free calling.
