The Edison Awards, celebrating 29 years of honoring excellence in innovation and the development of new products and services, has announced that the ZPower Rechargeable System for Hearing Aids was voted a Bronze Winner for innovation at the April 21st event at The Capitale in New York City. Ross Dueber, president and CEO of ZPower, joined hundreds of senior executives from some of the world’s most recognized companies to help celebrate the hard work and commitment of all of the 2016 Edison Award winners.
Being recognized with an Edison Award is one of the highest accolades a company can receive in the areas of innovation and business. The awards are named after Thomas Edison (1847-1931) whose inventions, new product development methods, and innovative achievements changed the world, garnered him 1,093 US patents, and made him a household name.
“Our judges recognized the ZPower Rechargeable System for Hearing Aids as a true innovator among the many products in the Vision and Hearing category,” said Frank Bonafilia, executive director of the Edison Awards.
The ballot of nominees for the Edison Awards was judged by a panel of more than 3,000 leading business executives including past award winners, academics, and leaders in the fields of product development, design, engineering, science, and medical.
“ZPower is honored to be recognized by Edison University as an Edison Award finalist for 2016, and this award, coupled with our CES Award, highlights our breakout year extremely well,” said Dueber. “ZPower batteries allow companies and consumers to access smaller, safer products. As we continue to revolutionize the hearing industry, you will see new industries enabled to innovate with our technology. Several contracts have been procured this year, indicating that 2017 will be an even bigger year for us.”
In addition to the Awards Gala, the annual Edison Awards program encompassed a full-day “Meet the Innovators Forum” and the “Innovators’ Showcase,” which offered guests a hands-on experience with many of the winning products, including the ZPower Rechargeable System for Hearing Aids.
