The 2.1% year-over-year increase in hearing aid sales points to continued demand for professionally fitted hearing instruments.

The European Hearing Instrument Manufacturers Association (EHIMA) announced that its member companies collectively sold 23.16 million hearing aids globally in 2025. The figure represents a 2.1% increase compared to 2024, confirming sustained global demand for professionally fitted hearing instruments.

According to the association, the continued growth demonstrates sustained awareness of hearing loss and the benefits of modern hearing technology, as well as ongoing improvements in access to hearing care services worldwide.

“We are encouraged to see continued growth in hearing instrument adoption across global markets,” says Peter Karlströmer, president of EHIMA, in a release. “The 2025 figures reflect increasing awareness of the importance of hearing health and the positive impact that professionally fitted hearing solutions can have on quality of life, social participation, and healthy ageing.”

The 2.1% growth in 2025 follows several years of consistent increases after a significant rebound in 2021. The global unit sales reported by EHIMA members in recent years include:
