HearUSA has announced nationwide availability of the Signia Active Mini IX, a ready-to-wear in-the-ear device built on Signia’s Integrated Xperience (IX) platform that supports same-day fittings without custom ear molds.

HearUSA, which operates more than 380 owned hearing centers and a network of over 4,000 hearing care professionals, has added the Signia Active Mini IX to its premium hearing portfolio, making the device available at all of its US locations.

The Active Mini IX runs on Signia’s Integrated Xperience (IX) platform and is positioned as the world’s smallest ready-to-wear in-the-ear hearing aid with connectivity. Its no-mold, instant-fit design allows hearing care professionals to complete fittings in a single appointment—a feature the company says can lower a common barrier to treatment adoption.

“For many, concerns about the appearance or complexity of hearing aids can delay seeking treatment,” says Sabrina Raineri, clinical operations audiologist at HearUSA, in a release. “The Signia Active Mini IX helps remove those barriers by offering exceptional hearing performance in an incredibly small, comfortable device that many clients can be fit with during a single appointment.”

Technology Overview

The Active Mini IX uses a two-microphone directional system to power Signia’s RealTime Conversation Enhancement technology, which is designed to track multiple speakers simultaneously and adjust speech enhancement as conversations shift in real time. The device targets challenging listening environments such as crowded restaurants and social gatherings.

Additional specifications include:

  • Battery: Rechargeable, with up to 21 hours of use per charge
  • Connectivity: Bluetooth streaming for phone calls, music, and media from both iPhone and Android devices
  • AI features: Signia Assistant, which personalizes hearing settings between clinical appointments

Retail and Clinical Context

Every Active Mini IX fitting at HearUSA is performed by a licensed hearing care professional and includes a hearing evaluation, personalized recommendations, and ongoing support, according to the company.

“At HearUSA, we’re committed to bringing the latest hearing innovations to the people we serve,” says Raineri, in a release. “By combining advanced technology like the Signia Active Mini IX with the expertise of our hearing care professionals, we’re making it easier for more people to experience the life-changing benefits of better hearing.”
