Audina Hearing Instruments Inc, based in Longwood, Fla, has announced the release of the new Super Power Octane hearing aid featuring iScroll. The iScroll digital volume control is intended to provide a smooth, easy-to-adjust gliding roller for patients who may have limited dexterity.
According to Audina, the Super Power Octane hearing aids achieve 148dB of output and 88dB maximum gain, and is available in a 4-, 6- or 12-channel configuration. Made with a customized dual receiver, the Octane is designed to achieve these power levels while maintaining stable performance free of feedback. Standard features include low level expansion, adaptive feedback cancellation, adaptive directional microphones (6 and 12 channel only), voice prompts, t-coil, and up to four memories.
The case is designed to provide the smallest possible packaging while still utilizing a 675 battery. The entire Octane Family of hearing products is P2i nano-coated for added protection against moisture, says the company.
