Hearing Health & Technology Matters (HHTM), an online resource for hearing professionals and consumers with hearing loss, has announced the appointment of Shari Eberts to its editorial team. Eberts, a hearing health advocate and founder of the Living With Hearing Loss blog, will become the new section editor for FindHearing.

Formerly operating as an independent website, FindHearing.com, the new section at HHTM, will retain the same mission: “to inform, educate, and empower consumers about the importance of hearing healthcare.”

“I am excited to see the expanded emphasis being given to consumer-related issues and information at HHTM,” said fellow editor Gael Hannan. “Shari Eberts and I are both passionate advocates for people with hearing loss and I can’t think of a better person to deliver the information at FindHearing on HearingHealthMatters.org.”

”We were thrilled to learn about Shari Ebert’s appointment as section editor at HHTM. Shari is a long-time collaborator of the Ida Institute and a strong voice in the hearing loss community,” said Lise Lotte Bundesen, managing director at the Ida Institute. “As a fervent advocate for person-centered care, her perspective will enrich the debate and contribute to HHTM’s vision of bridging the knowledge gap in treating hearing loss.”

Eberts will join HHTM’s editorial team, who bring readers the latest news and insightful perspectives each week:

“I’m grateful to have the opportunity to work with so many talented professionals at HHTM everyday,” said Kevin Liebe, AuD, HHTM President and CEO. “Bringing Shari on board as editor seemed like an obvious choice and I’m excited to have her join HHTM in an official role.”

Shari Eberts said: “I am thrilled to join the talented and dedicated group of editors at HHTM in creating informative and useful content for hearing health professionals and the consumers they serve. I believe an educated consumer makes better decisions regarding their hearing health care and am excited that FindHearing’s mission promotes this process.”
