WDH President and CEO Niels Jacobsen was presented with the 2013 Nordic Chair of the Year Award by Dilek Ayhan, Norway’s State Secretary of the Ministry of Trade, Industry, and Fisheries.
Niels Jacobsen, president and CEO of William Demant Holding (WDH), Smørem, Denmark, has been selected as the winner of the prestigious Nordic Chair of the Year 2013 award. The award was presented to Jacobsen in Haavind, Norway, by State Secretary Dilek Ayhan of the Norwegian Ministry of Trade, Industry, and Fisheries.
Jacobsen was honored for his contributions as Chair of the Board for Lego A/S, a position he has held since 2008. Under Jacobsen’s direction, Lego experienced tremendous development during the economic crisis that occurred in 2008—a time when many businesses suffered heavy losses.
Prior to his selection for the top honor, Jacobsen was also honored as the Chair of the Year in Denmark.
