Unionized employees of the Canadian Hearing Society—a nonprofit that provides services, programs, and products to the deaf community—are on strike, effective March 6, the nonprofit announced in a press release.
Members of CUPE 2073Â and the Hearing Society are attempting to negotiate a collective bargaining agreement, which would include new terms for wage increases and benefits, among other things.
