CSD Appoints Rosa Lee Timm as Division President, Social Venture Fund

Communication Service for the Deaf (CSD) announced that its Chief Marketing Officer, and longtime leader in the deaf community, Rosa Lee Timm is the new Division President for CSD's Social Venture Fund. Timm first joined CSD in 2019 as the Chief Marketing Officer and has been an integral part of the organization's senior leadership ever since.

Cochlear Announces Winners of Scholarship Awards

Cochlear Limited (ASX: COH) announced the winners of the 19th Annual Graeme Clark and the 10th Annual Anders Tjellström Scholarships. The scholarships, named after two pioneers of the hearing implant industry, recognize Cochlear Nucleus Implant, Cochlear Baha System, and Cochlear Osia System recipients in the United States and Canada who are said to uphold “the Cochlear ideals of leadership, humanity, and demonstrate high academic achievement.”

Black Deaf Artists Celebrated during Black History Month

In celebration of Black History Month, the Dyer Arts Center at Rochester Institute of Technology’s National Technical Institute for the Deaf is showcasing the work of black deaf artists around the globe. “Unfolding the Soul of Black Deaf Expressions” runs through February 27, 2016, and features more than 150 works of art from 30 black deaf artists.
