The ZPower Rechargeable System for Hearing Aids has been named a 2016 Award Finalist by the Edison Awards™, a distinguished awards program inspired by Thomas Edison’s persistence and inventiveness. The Edison Awards recognize innovation, creativity, and ingenuity in products and services introduced to the global economy.
“It’s exciting to see companies like ZPower continuing Thomas Edison’s legacy of challenging conventional thinking,” said Frank Bonafilia, Edison Awards’ executive director. “Edison Awards recognize the game-changing products and services, and the teams that brought them to consumers.”
Award winners will be announced April 21, 2016 at the Edison Awards Annual Gala, held in the historic ballroom of the Capitale venue in New York City.
“We are honored to have the ZPower Rechargeable System for Hearing Aids recognized as a game-changing product,” said Sara Sable-Antry, vice president of sales and marketing for ZPower. “Improving the quality of life for hearing aid wearers has always been our goal and I am proud to say we have achieved that. To be recognized is extremely rewarding, but more importantly, recognition like this helps us get the word out to more people who could benefit from our product.”
ZPower’s Rechargeable System for Hearing Aids was designed to make it easy to convert many new and existing hearing aids to rechargeable technology. The ZPower Rechargeable System is intended to offer a full day of continuous power, charge overnight in the hearing aids, take the place of an estimated 200 disposable batteries, and last a full year. The ZPower hearing aid battery is meant to be replaced once every year by a hearing care professional, so the patient never has to touch a hearing aid battery again.
The Edison Awards is a program conducted by Edison Universe, a 501(c)(3) charitable organization dedicated to fostering future innovators. Edison Award nominees are judged by more than 3,000 senior business executives and academics from across the nation whose votes acknowledge the finalists’ success in meeting the award’s stringent criteria of quality.
