ReSound is now offering online training courses for audiologists to obtain CEU credits. Available in conjunction with Brainshark, an Internet education company, the 11 courses are worth 2.5 CEUs applicable to ASHA and AAA certification.

Explaining why the hearing aid manufacturer is offering the courses, Mary Rapaport, director of product marketing, ReSound, explained, “We’ve consistently heard from our customers that they value the training and education modules we offer, but that they want more options and more flexibility. Providing the ability for our customers to conveniently earn CEUs online helps our customers acquire skills and information that are important to them, while helping them manage an already-busy schedule."

The 11 courses are available via ReSound eCademy’s self-registration Web page. Veterans Administration audiologists can register via a separate portal. On proper completion of each program, customers send requested information, shown in each course, to [email protected], and the company will submit the information to the appropriate accrediting agency.

The courses offered are based on ReSound technology and include Alera, Aventa, Unite Mini Microphone, WindGuard, and Environmental Optimizer training modules.
