Amplifon USA has hired Steven Huart, AuD, as director of
professional development. Most recently an audiologist at Mayo Clinic
Scottsdale, Huart joins the Amplifon USA corporate management team at its headquarters in Plymouth, Minn.
“We are fortunate to find someone of Steve’s caliber to lead the
professional development department,” Michele Fusco, senior vice
president of professional development for Amplifon USA, said “His long career in the field as an audiologist, combined with his teaching experience in Arizona and Minnesota, will further strengthen our stellar program.”
Huart brings 20 years of experience in the hearing-health industry to his new role at Amplifon USA. Since 1997, he has served as an audiologist at Mayo Clinic Scottsdale, an adjunct faculty member at the Arizona School of Health Science and an instructor at Mayo Medical School. Huart has also worked at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn.; the Wausau Medical Center and Wausau Hospital in Wausau, Wis.; the University of Wisconsin, Stevens Point; and Telex Communications in Rochester.
Huart earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees at the University of
Wisconsin, Stevens Point and has a doctorate in audiology from Central Michigan University. He is a member of the American Academy of Audiology, the American Auditory Society, the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and the Arizona Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
Huart replaces Brian Taylor, who was moved to Amplifon corporate
headquarters in Italy to become global training manager for Amplifon’s brands worldwide.
