Hermetic Switch Inc, Chickasha, Okla, designer and manufacturer of reed switches, proximity sensors, and other switch technologies, is operating under a new name: HSI Sensing. The company is under the same ownership, with the same staff, and technology. It will continue to create and manufacture custom and standard solutions, operating as it has during the past 42 years.
“We are rebranding to signal change in our corporate strategy, which encompasses our priority of dedication to our customers and delivering quality products,” said Ryan Posey, VP of operations, in a statement. “We’re also changing our name to emphasize our commitment to be a sensing solutions provider."
Company officials said that Hermetic Switch was not purchased by another company and that it is managed and operated by the same people and offers the same technology as before. The company will communicate with customers and vendors to advise of the change. “The only discernable change that Hermetic Switch customers will see is our newly designed Web site,” said Posey.
Posey added, “We feel our Web site is better than it’s ever been, and we will continue to add features to make it easier for customers to find the products they need.”
Established in 1968, HSI Sensing is an ISO 9001:2008-registered company. It provides custom and standard sensing solutions to industries. Specific applications in which HSI sensing products are used include hearing aids, burglar alarms, commercial and military jet engines, commercial lawn mowers, defibrillators, pacemakers, space station/space shuttle functions, test, measurement and diagnostic equipment (TMDE), Vagus nerve stimulators, valve-position monitoring devices, and wireless devices.
