Crawley, West Sussex, UK Siemens Hearing Instruments has combined its UK sales and audiology teams and named Wendy Davies (pictured) to the new role of National Sales and Audiology Manager. The company says that the move is intended to strengthen customer focus.

Davies has been in the hearing industry for 25 years. She has worked in the National Health System (NHS) and at Siemens Hearing Instruments where, most recently, she has been managing the audiology department and key accounts.

Davies said in the press announcement, "The new role is an exciting challenge at a busy time with several new product launches ahead. Our key focus is about continued support to NHS and retail customers in the face of growing pressures to increase efficiency."

The United Kingdom’s National Health Service provides reimbursement to consumers for some hearing aids, thus providers must be sure their products are competitive and qualify for reimbursement.

"Wendy is an integral part of our team, and this internal reorganization will allow us to draw on a deep knowledge base for future growth," commented Trevor Andrews, managing director of Siemens Hearing Instruments.
