The new device is designed for simplicity and comfort, aiming to lower barriers for new users.
Audien Hearing has announced the launch of the Atom Air, an ultra-lightweight over-the-counter (OTC) hearing aid. The device is designed as a ready-to-use solution that does not require apps or in-office appointments for setup.
Product Specifications
The Atom Air operates on Audien’s A1 MAX sound chip and includes one adjustable hearing mode with customizable frequency control. It features a 24-hour battery life and a nearly invisible, in-ear design. Compared to the company’s Atom One model, the Atom Air has advanced sound isolation, a smaller profile, and a lighter, ear-specific design. The manufacturer’s suggested retail price is $149.
The product is intended to address common barriers to hearing aid adoption, such as comfort, cost, and perceived stigma. “Our goal has always been to make hearing care feel more human, approachable, and accessible,” says Laurie Ann Goldman, CEO of Audien Hearing, in a release. “Atom Air was created for the millions of people who may have felt hesitant to take that first step. It’s lightweight, discreet, affordable, and incredibly easy to use, helping people reconnect to conversations and everyday moments with confidence.”
In addition to its device lineup, Audien offers the Audien Sound Check, a service providing customers with optional appointments with hearing specialists for personalized guidance.
