The Audiology Foundation of America (AFA) has announced audiologist Wendy Page as the winner of its 2008 Spring Practitioner Scholarship. This $1,000 scholarship was provided directly by the AFA to further its commitment to Au.D. education and its dedication to empowering audiologists and their careers.

Page received her bachelor and master degrees from Central Michigan University, and has been employed since 1987 by The Rehab Center, a private nonprofit outpatient rehabilitation facility in Mansfield, OH. She is part of a team that provides evaluation and treatment for children from birth to 6 years of age, and she also works with individuals of all ages to provide hearing evaluations and hearing aid sales and services.

Over the course of her career, Page has served as an audiologist in industrial settings, schools, daycares, a local ENT office, and several state-funded testing and treatment programs. She is in the process of enrolling in the distance Au.D. program at A.T. Still University/Arizona School of Health Sciences (ASHS).

“I love my job, even after all these years,” said Page. “I decided to continue my education and pursue my Au.D. degree to better serve my patients.”
