Audiology Systems, a full-service, US distributor of GN Otometrics products and other audiology and vestibular equipment, has announced new dates for its Hands-on Training Series in September and October 2016. The courses focus on evoked potential (EP) and videonystagmography (VNG), head impulse testing, and fitting techniques, respectively.

“These courses are designed to provide audiologists and hearing care professionals with convenient and affordable ways to learn about the newest technologies and testing efficiencies in patient care,” says Audiology Education Manager Kathleen Hill, AuD. “Continuing the legacy of diagnostic education is just another way we are taking customer care to a new level.”

According to Audiology Systems, each course is offered at 0.7 continuing education units (CEUs). Space is limited, so early registration is encouraged. September 28, 2016: The 7-hour Hands-on EP Training course now includes VEMP training. This course was designed to address the training needs that will allow you to stay up-to-date with the latest developments in EP testing. Key training areas include frequency-specific threshold assessment techniques, troubleshooting practicum, and using EP to assess the dizzy patient, including ECOG and VEMP testing. September 29, 2016: The 7-hour Hands-on VNG Training course is designed for audiologists, ENTs and healthcare professionals who would like to stay current with the advances in VNG/ENG. As new technology and software are introduced, clinicians who perform VNG/ENG testing benefit from ongoing training that will enable them to apply the new technology to existing procedures. Key training areas include test protocol development, data interpretation and presentation, and reporting test results. View course details.

September 30, 2016: The 7-hour Hands-on Impulse Training will be available for audiologists, ENTs and healthcare professionals who perform head impulse testing to assess the dizzy patient. With the release of the latest version of ICS Impulse – the scalable solution now including all test modules. In 2016, course attendees will learn the clinical value of each module and will strike the balance between theory and testing. View course details.

October 28, 2016: The 7-hour Hands-on AURICAL Training will focus on the practical application of probe microphone measurements (PMM) and the hearing instrument test (HIT) box. This hands-on workshop extends on the concepts introduced in our FittingNOW! series. Key training areas include practical application of the instruction and demonstrations that incorporate the latest technologies in hearing instruments. Participants will learn to perform these techniques using the AURICAL® FreeFit PMM unit and HIT box. View course details.
