Plymouth, Minn — A record-breaking 812 individuals attended the 2011 Elite Hearing Network Business Summit, held February 10-13, at Atlantis Paradise Island, Bahamas. The total included Elite members, vendor partners, and corporate staff.
Heinz Ruch, president and CEO of Amplifon USA, Michele M. Fusco, senior vice president of Amplifon Medical Business Operations, and Paul Harkness, vice president of Elite Hearing Network, were in attendance.
Held annually, the Elite Business Summit provides members with an opportunity to learn strategies and best practices of operating a successful hearing care practice. Attendees also have an opportunity to interact with several of Elite’s vendor partners, getting updated on the latest products and services.
At this year’s summit, members could choose from 16 practice-building educational
sessions and earn up to eight continuing education units (CEUs). The sessions were split into four tracks: Marketing Solutions, Practice Solutions, Financial Management, and Human Resources Development.
A keynote speech was delivered by Peter Sheahan, author of six books, including international bestsellers FL!P and Generation Y. As an expert on achieving a competitive advantage, Sheahan shared his insights on how businesses can differentiate themselves in a crowded marketplace. He gave examples from America’s most successful corporations and translated those examples into lessons any business can apply.
