A new college scholarship plan launched by Sonus will award $2,500 annually to each of eight third- and fouth-year doctoral students in audiology. The program, announced by Sonus February 9, will be administered in partnership with Scholarship America.

“The final years of the AuD are critical for students, most of whom are balancing their academic demands with work and family,” says Michele Fusco, senior vice president of professional development at Amplifon USA, the parent company of Sonus.

“By offering scholarships to up-and-coming audiologists, Sonus is helping to ensure that the best and brightest students will have the financial support necessary to complete their programs and make an immediate impact in the hearing-health industry upon graduation,” Fusco says.

Applicants must be currently enrolled in a full-time academic program as a third-or fourth-year AuD student and attend a qualified university in the United States or Canada. Applications must be submitted to Scholarship America with a current, complete transcript by March 1.

A list of approved universities is available on the Sonus College Scholarship Program Web site: www.sms.scholarshipamerica.org/sonus.
