As the 110th Congress winds downs, the Hearing Aid Tax Credit has gained the support of many key Democratic leaders, and the co-sponsorship of 123 legislators—some 110 Representatives and 13 Senators.

This rivals the level of support attained in the 109th Congress.

Reps. C.A. Dutch Ruppersberger (D-Md) and Devin Nunes (R-Calif) were the two most recent House co-sponsors, and Sen Larry Craig (R-Idaho) is the most recent member of the Senate to sign on.

Nunes’ support is especially critical, as he becomes the ninth member of the key House Ways and Means Committee to co-sponsor the measure.

Hearing Industries Association members and Congressional staff members for the legislative champions plan to meet in the coming weeks with Ways and Means staff to discuss consideration of the tax credit in the 111th Congress.
