Dynamic Ear Co (DEC), Delft, The Netherlands, a developer of hearing protection technology and intellectual property for industrial, music, and consumer electronic applications, reports that it has closed its funding round for continued growth with an investment consortium led by Eindhoven-based Point One innovation fund.

The multistage investment allows DEC to put into full production its dynamic hearing protection and explore new markets.

“This investment enables Point-One Innovation Fund to assist DEC both by providing the financial stability to set up manufacturing of DST and through our expertise in semiconductors," said Cees Jan Koomen, founder and managing director, Point One, in a statement. "We see great opportunities for DEC technologies in the established industrial and music hearing protection markets and for reducing hearing damage and injury through the use of MP3 players.”

Engbert Wilmink, founder of DEC said that DEC expects the move will reduce costs, introduce the company to new markets, and bring it closer to potential customers.”
