PARIS — Sperian Protection Group (formerly Bacou-Dalloz), the Paris-based manufacturer of PPE products used in many parts of the world, announced January 25 that it has begun delivering QuietPro® hearing protection and radio communication systems to the US Marine Corps and US Army through Nacre, a Norwegian subsidiary. QuietPro is a line of "intelligent hearing systems," according to the company, that combine adaptive electronic and passive in-ear hearing protection with natural speech and radio communications.

Sperian says the two contracts include replacement parts and end-user training valued at close to $30 million. "We are pleased by the U.S. military’s show of confidence in us,” says Henri-Dominique Petit, chairman and CEO of Sperian Protection. “I have no doubt that this will encourage armed forces in other countries beyond our current customer base to acquire these intelligent ear plugs, which are a real technological breakthrough and an aid to military personnel in their operations.”
