Two hearing health care businesses recently received combined awards of $100,000 from Oticon, Inc, to fund makeovers for their practices.

Grand prize winner David Illich, AuD, FAAA of Professional Hearing Associates in Oceanside, California and runner-up Sherwin Weisman BC-HIS of North Suburban Hearing Service in Niles, Illinois submitted essays that outlined how a practice  makeover that would enable them to deliver an optimal patient experience.

“We know the physical environment in which hearing care is delivered can have an enormous impact upon a practice’s ability to attract the new users and convert them into satisfied hearing instrument wearers,” stated Peer Lauritsen, president of Oticon, Inc. “We look forward to showing how a well-designed, attractive environment can be a place where new and existing patients will want to seek care.”
 
Each of the winning practices will receive an exceptional package of assistance in creating an “office of the future.”  Planning begins this month with target completion dates and unveiling in the fall.
