Elkins Park, Pa – The Salus University Osborne College of Audiology (OCA) has presented Gail Gudmundsen, AuD, with OCA’s first Salus University Audiology Alumna of the Year award during an alumni reception at the AAA show in Boston. Student scholarships were also awarded at the same event.
The award, presented by Dr Victor Bray, dean of OCA, recognizes an alumnus of the George S. Osborne College of Audiology who has “distinguished himself/herself through extraordinary service and contributions to the profession of audiology, bringing honor and prestige to Salus University.”
Gudmundsen (pictured) is a member of OCA’s class of 2002, and is a former adjunct faculty member and a past member of the university’s Board of Trustees. She is currently the managing director of the Audiology Division of Etymotic Research Inc.
Additionally, Dean Bray announced the four winners of OCA student scholarships at the reception. Megan Schenk, class of 12, and Whitney Hill, class of 2013, each won an Audiology Foundation of America Student Excellence Scholarship Award.
Additionally, Kelsey Deputy, class of 2012, and Andy Lau, class of 2013, were the winners of the Anita Pikus, AuD Memorial Student Excellence Scholarship Award.
