Costa Mesa, Calif — Patient finance company CareCredit will celebrate its 25th anniversary in 2012. Established in 1987, CareCredit initially focused on patient financing for dental implants and then gradually expanded its services to many other sectors, including hearing health.

The company joined GE Capital in 2002 and has continued to grow. Today, CareCredit reports that over 20 million people have access to a CareCredit card, and that it is now accepted at 150,000 practices in various medical fields. In addition to audiology, the company provides patient financing services to veterinary, ophthalmology, cosmetic, podiatry, chiropractic, optometry, and other specialties.

“It’s been a privilege to serve the doctors and teams who make CareCredit available to patients,” said Dave Fasoli, president, CareCredit, in the press statement. “Reaching our silver 25th anniversary is important, but in many ways we view it as only the beginning. Helping patients access care is a long-term commitment that we have embraced as a company. We will continue to work hard to meet patients’ changing needs, so more can hear better, see better, feel more confident and smile bigger.”

Nikolas Becker of Livingston Hearing Centers commented, “We’ve offered CareCredit for over 7 years now. In addition to getting repeat business from patients who originally purchased their hearing aids from us using the CareCredit card, we even see patients who got CareCredit from another practice, like their dentist or veterinarian, who come to see us because they can use the credit that they already have.”
