Sonova announced a leadership change in its Hearing Instruments (HI) Wholesale North America business, with Nicholai Dessypris assuming the role of president on January 1, 2025. He is succeeding Sandy Brandmeier, who retired at the end of 2024 after a six-year tenure with Sonova and over 20 years of healthcare leadership.
Dessypris brings more than 15 years of experience in the healthcare/medtech and IT industries. Most recently, he served as general manager and vice president, North America at LifeScan. Prior to that, he held several commercial leadership roles at GE Healthcare, including vice president of patient monitoring. Dessypris joined Sonova in November 2024 and has worked closely with Brandmeier during a transition period to ensure a seamless handover of responsibilities.
