The contribution to the American Academy of Audiology Foundation will fund scholarships and humanitarian missions for the 2026–27 academic year.

The Oticon Hearing Foundation is continuing its partnership with the American Academy of Audiology Foundation (AAAF) with a $30,000 contribution to support the professional development of audiology students.

For the 2026–27 academic year, the funds will be allocated to provide $20,000 for student scholarships and up to $10,000 to support two student-led humanitarian mission trips to Mexico in partnership with Hearing the Call.

“This year, we are excited not only to support students through scholarships, but also to help empower hands-on humanitarian experiences that strengthen clinical skills and deepen compassion for communities in need,” says Mariann Cadieu, executive director of the Oticon Hearing Foundation, in a release.

Now in its thirteenth year supporting the Empowering Students Scholarship Program, the Oticon Hearing Foundation’s contribution aims to foster sustainable improvements in hearing care.

“We are grateful for the Oticon Hearing Foundation’s ongoing commitment to audiology students,” says Patrick Gallagher, executive director of the American Academy of Audiology, in a release. “By supporting both scholarships and humanitarian missions, this partnership helps shape well-rounded professionals who are prepared to lead, serve, and advance the audiology profession.”

The 2025 Empowering Students Scholarship winners include: Breanna Billings, University of Texas at Dallas; Taylor Clay, Illinois State University; Lily Croke (Thomas), University of Iowa; Eriel Confer, Vanderbilt University; Derian Cunningham, Illinois State University; and Courtney Roberts, Gallaudet University.
