Somerset, NJ — Sonic displayed “Flip,” its latest consumer-inspired product at the AAA show in Boston. Flip is a new miniature receiver-in-the-canal (miniRIC) hearing solution that is designed to enhance natural sound quality and promote better speech understanding.
"AudiologyNOW! provides the largest, broadest, and highest quality educational event for audiologists around the world, and we’re thrilled to be able to demonstrate and discuss what’s new at Sonic," said Sonic president and COO Joseph A. Lugara. "We’ve been extremely pleased with the response that Flip has garnered thus far, and the AudiologyNow! Show is an excellent platform to discuss the enhanced quality of life that Flip and other hearing solutions offer for millions around the world with hearing issues."
Flip is designed for active people with hearing loss that are either unhappy with the look and performance of their current hearing device or those that have previously denied hearing issues for a variety of reasons, including the fear that wearing a hearing device may make them appear older, disabled, or unstylish.
Flip gets its name from its unique battery compartment, designed with a door that easily "flips" open with a flick of the thumb.
Flip also features simple operation, wireless connectivity, and a compact size with a Speech Variable Processing platform and Speech Priority Noise Reduction, which emphasizes speech understanding in noisy rooms. It also includes other modern features, such as Bluetooth connectivity.
"Far too many people with hearing issues, regardless of age, are living in a denial that ends up making life less enjoyable in the long run," said Lugara. "At Sonic, we strive to deliver convenient solutions that fit into an individual’s lifestyle to enhance hearing capability and reverse the stigma associated with hearing loss."
