Christopher M. Eckert, MS, CCC-A, Hearing Unlimited, accepts the President’s Award from AHAA.

The American Hearing Aid Associates (AHAA), Chadds Ford, Pa, announced that at its 21st Annual AHAA Convention held in Las Vegas earlier this year, the organization recognized the outstanding achievements of seven audiologists who own independent hearing healthcare practices.

More than 500 AHAA Associates and industry professionals attended the annual event, which featured a variety of educational and peer-sharing sessions designed to help audiologists and other hearing care providers succeed in the increasingly competitive marketplace.

Christopher Eckert, MS, CCC-A, owner of Hearing Unlimited in Pittsburg, Pa, received AHAA’s highest honor, the President’s Award. This award is given to an Associate who exemplifies the key attributes that help create a successful practice, including leadership, a commitment to training, and process improvement.

Other winners who received awards from AHAA at the annual convention were Donna Hill, AuD, and R. Craig Ford, AuD, Growth Award, owners of Audiology Professionals Inc, Eugene, Ore; Robbi Hershon, AuD, CCC-A, and Debra Knapp, AuD, CCC-A, Leadership Award, owners of The Hearing Group, West Orange, NJ; Karen Lemme, AuD, All the Right Things Award, owner of Lemme Audiology Associates, Altoona, Pa; and Marilyn M. Hinrichs, AuD, CCC-A, Organizational Development Award, owner of Advanced Hearing Center, Dallas and Grapevine, Tex.
