GN Hearing, a company involved in the development of Smart Hearing aid technology, announced the company’s two signature products, ReSound LiNX 3D™ and Beltone Trust™, were named winners of two Gold Stevie® Awards. The products were recognized in both the “Health & Pharmaceuticals Product” and “Technical Innovation of the Year” categories (for organizations with 1,000 or more employees) of the 16th Annual American Business Awards®.

ReSound LiNX 3D and Beltone Trust were specifically recognized for their remote fine-tuning abilities. They are reportedly the “first hearing aids” to offer this unique technology, which allows hearing aid users to contact their hearing care professionals (HCPs) via the cloud to make adjustments remotely to their hearing instruments without having to visit a clinic.  This feature is particularly helpful for users who have limited mobility, live in rural areas, are living active lives, have busy careers, or need to travel long distances to visit their HCPs, according to GN Hearing.

“We are extremely proud to be recognized for this innovation in teleaudiology, which is proving to be a life changer for many with hearing loss,” said Kim Lody, president of GN Hearing North America. “This cutting-edge hearing technology platform will continually broaden the services offered by HCPs to their patients, allowing them to strengthen that critical relationship.”

The American Business Awards is a business awards’ program in the US.  All US-based organizations are eligible to submit nominations. Nicknamed the “Stevies” for the Greek word meaning “crowned,” the awards will be presented to winners at a gala ceremony at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York on Monday, June 11. More than 3,700 nominations from organizations of all sizes and in almost every industry were submitted this year for consideration in a wide range of categories. More than 200 professionals worldwide participated in the judging process to select this year’s Stevie Award winners.

“The nominations submitted for the 2018 American Business Awards were outstanding.  The competition was intense, and those recognized as Stevie Award winners should be immensely proud of this accomplishment,” said Michael Gallagher, president and founder of the Stevie Awards.
