The Academy of Doctors of Audiology’s new initiative offers dollar-for-dollar dues matching and complimentary memberships to encourage dual participation at the state and national level.

The Academy of Doctors of Audiology (ADA) has launched the AuDvantage Membership Program, a partnership initiative aimed at strengthening state audiology associations and driving greater professional engagement across the country.

Built on the premise that the profession advances when its state associations do, AuDvantage offers two financial incentives structured to encourage audiologists to maintain membership at both the state and national levels.

Current ADA members who join or renew a state audiology association membership will receive a dollar-for-dollar discount off their 2027 ADA dues equal to the amount paid in eligible state dues. Audiologists who are new to ADA — or who have not held ADA membership within the past three years — will receive a complimentary ADA membership through Dec 31, 2027, valued at up to $900 (an 18-month membership), upon joining or renewing their state association membership.

“AuDvantage represents ADA’s long-term commitment to strengthening state audiology associations and increasing collaboration, information sharing, and advocacy within and across states to advance the profession of audiology and improve access and outcomes for the patients we serve,” says Jill Davis, AuD, president of ADA, in a release. “ADA is aiming for 100% ADA member participation in their state associations. And, we believe it is so important that we are willing to make a substantial investment to offset the cost of their state memberships completely.”

State Association Partner Program and Emerging State Initiative

AuDvantage also introduces the ADA State Association Partner Program, which gives state associations access to ready-to-use communications resources, member participation reporting, and future eligibility for State Advocacy Investment Grants beginning in 2027.

An Emerging State Initiative extends participation to audiologists in states without an active state association. Audiologists in those states can contact Stephanie Czuhajewski at [email protected] for more information.

ADA is administering the program directly, creating no additional administrative burden for state associations. Participating audiologists submit proof of state association membership to ADA, which handles verification, benefit application, and ongoing communications.

The launch of AuDvantage follows other recent ADA advocacy and profession-building efforts, including its Audiology 2050 initiative and ongoing work to reform hearing healthcare coverage.

Audiologists and state audiology associations interested in participating can visit the AuDvantage page at audiologist.org or contact Parker Allen at [email protected].
