Widex has announced that Jeff Geigel is the new president of Widex USA Inc following the resignation of Rodney Schutt who had served as president of the company since October 2013.
“Amongst his numerous contributions to the business, Rodney developed the organization’s capabilities, performance, and customer focus,” says Widex A/S Senior Vice-president Mike Dittmann. “We appreciate Rodney’s contributions to strengthen Widex’s position in the US hearing aid market.” Prior to having served as president of Widex USA, Schutt had been the president and CEO of Unitron US.
As new president, Geigel brings with him a long and successful track record in the hearing industry, and is perhaps best known for his work at the Montreal-based Helix Hearing Care of America. “Jeff has extensive experience in various leadership and operational roles, with more than 16 years in the hearing aid industry,” says Dittmann. “The fundamentals we have in place today are solid, and Widex USA is among the fastest growing hearing aid companies. We are confident that Jeff, together with the capabilities and talents of a strong, experienced US management team, will successfully lead and strengthen our position further in the US market.”
Geigel took the reigns as president of Widex USA on August 25.
