A major new distribution deal has been established between U.K. assistive listening specialists, Contacta Systems, and Australia-based hearing augmentation provider, Hearing Loop Australia.

With more than 15 years experience in supply and installation of AV and assistive listening technology, Hearing Loop Australia is a distributor offering nationwide coverage and has equipment specified in every state and territory.

“This is an exciting partnership for us and offers a new approach to supply and installation,” says Ran Meyrav, head of new business development at Contacta. “Hearing Loop Australia (HLA) are unique in that they have an in-house audiologist and a keen focus on the outcome for people with hearing loss, not just enabling venues to meet accessibility legislation. We found many common goals and a joint philosophy on hearing accessibility in our discussions with their management, which helped our decision.”

Based in Victoria, Hearing Loop Australia also has offices in Queensland, New South Wales, and South Australia.

“We are very much looking forward to working closely with Contacta,” says Hearing Loop Australia’s Director Ian Riddle. “Like us, they concentrate on providing solutions that really work for end users through technology at the highest level. Their range means we can offer assistive listening technology solutions for every situation in every venue, and Contacta’s unparalleled level of training and support will enable our team to hit the ground running.”

From this month, the deal will see HLA holding stock locally at its main office in Melbourne, so orders can be fulfilled with shorter lead times to their established network of customers, AV integrators, pro-audio installers, and specifiers.

“Ian and his team bring on board a huge amount of experience and market knowledge,” Meyrav added. “They have already completed major projects using our products. This new relationship means they will now also be able to offer technical, design and after-sales support on our ranges and we look forward to a very successful relationship.”
