Inventis Srl announced that it has signed an agreement for a share capital increase underwritten by the Innovative-RFK Spa fund, which thereby will become part of the company with a 30% stake.
Inventis, an Italian company founded in 2005 and headquartered in Padua that designs and manufacturers audiology equipment, will have access to new resources for expanding its product portfolio and boosting international expansion as part of a strategic plan that provides for both organic growth and acquisitions, according to the company.
“Innovative-RFK’s entry will not be the end of the road,” said Inventis’ CEO Massimo Martinelli, “but, rather, the beginning of an ambitious project aimed at consolidating and improving the already excellent results achieved in recent years [last three years: CAGR +26%, Ebitda 11%] with the strategic goal of reinforcing our position as a world-class innovator in the field of audiology devices.”
With a workforce topping 50 employees—more than 40% of whom are engineers mostly involved in R&D activities (said to be the company’s largest investment item)—Inventis is said to be an “innovative challenger” in its field. The company has always been focused on exports, which now account for over 50% of sales, and recently opened a subsidiary in the USA to reinforce its presence in its most important market after the domestic one.
The strategies agreed with the fund are intended to generate a steady increase in revenues and margins by accelerating penetration into the markets with the greatest potential (USA, China, India, Germany, France, UK).
Innovative-RFK Spa (www.innovative-rfk.it), an investment company operating on the Italian market with investments focused on Innovative SMEs, will provide equity and the expertise needed by Inventis to boost its development and global expansion. According to the company’s announcement, a significant contribution will come from Piero D’Agri, an industry expert at I-RFK who has extensive international experience in the audiology sector and who will support the founding members Massimo Martinelli, Stefano Fante, and Massimo Ferraresso on the Board of Directors.
Support for the transaction was provided by Attorney Simone Cecchinato of Studio Legale GTA based in Vicenza on behalf of Inventis S.r.l. and by Attorney Joanna Gualano of Studio Legale Gualano based in Milan representing Innovative-RFK S.p.a.
