Starkey announced a brand-new line of custom hearing aids which it has called its Signature Series, as well as new updates and enhancements to its Genesis AI hearing aid, including more clarity in sound for the device.

“The response to Genesis AI around the world has met and exceeded what we set out to do, but we aren’t stopping there,” says Brandon Sawalich, president and CEO at Starkey. “With the introduction of Signature Series, the world’s first fully custom rechargeable hearing aid, and even better sound quality to Genesis AI, Starkey continues its drive to deliver the most intuitive, convenient, and patient-driven hearing products in the industry—further proving the best never rests.”

Starkey’s New Signature Series

Starkey’s Signature Series features its smallest line of custom products yet with three non-wireless custom hearing aids all with Starkey’s award-winning Neuro Sound Technology.

  • Signature CIC R NW: The all-new Signature CIC R NW is a discreet, rechargeable hearing aid that lasts up to 38 hours and, consistent with its Genesis AI rechargeable products, is waterproof*.
  • Signature CIC NW: For patients who prefer the flexibility of zinc-air batteries, the company offers the flexibility of a battery-operated CIC NW.
  • Signature IIC NW: This solution is designed for patients concerned with hearing aid size and stigma.

Updates to the Genesis AI

Meanwhile, the Genesis AI will now include two new features designed specifically to help patients hear clearly in more situations, the company says.

  • Edge Mode+: Edge Mode+ has now become automatic once engaged. After the user turns on Edge Mode+, it continues to scan, adapt, and optimize as the wearer changes environments or as the environment they are in changes.
  • Motion-based optimization: Adaptive directional microphones now have the power of sensor technology embedded inside Genesis AI. This feature works in two ways:
    • Situational awareness — when activity-based motion, like walking or running, is detected, the microphones will switch to omni-directional to ensure more awareness of the patient’s surroundings and the best listening experience. Starkey’s research has shown motion-based optimization provides improved wind noise reduction during activity enhancing Genesis AI’s already impressive up to 35 dB in wind noise reduction.
    • Reduced Feedback — Small movements that impact the hearing aid placement, like chewing or putting on glasses or a hat, will activate our renowned feedback cancellation system to be at its most aggressive. A first-of-its-kind feature, this ensures no chirps or squeals escape.
