The new GN software makes the National Acoustic Laboratories’ next-generation formula available to hearing care professionals.
GN has announced the global launch of its new fitting software, version 2.3.1, which integrates the NAL-NL3 hearing aid prescription formula. Developed by the National Acoustic Laboratories (NAL), NAL-NL3 is designed for evidence-based, precise fittings.
With the integration of NAL-NL3, hearing care professionals can now use the advanced prescription formula, which leverages AI insights and real-world user feedback to enable more personalized hearing outcomes. The GN software also includes an enhanced AutoREM (Real-Ear Measurement) feature to help match the hearing aid’s sound output to the user’s ear acoustics.
“We are incredibly excited that GN introduces the fitting software to integrate NAL-NL3,” says Brent Edwards, director of the National Acoustic Laboratories, in a release. “This will enable hearing care professionals to harness the full power of our cutting-edge prescriptive formula, providing their patients with the most precise and personalized sound experience possible. It truly elevates the standard of care.”
Andreas Anderhov, regional president of Asia-Pacific for GN Hearing, noted that the initial fitting using NAL-NL3 took place at a Hearing Australia Clinic. “This launch underscores GN’s commitment to innovation built through partnership and clinical evidence,” says Anderhov, in a release. “This achievement demonstrates our dedication to people-centered innovation.”
The new fitting software with NAL-NL3 became available worldwide on March 11, 2026, through a global software release of ReSound Smart Fit 2.3.1, Beltone Solus Max 2.3.1, and Hearing Australia Fitware 2.3.1.
