Durham, NC – MED-EL Corporation has just announced that any patient receiving a MED-EL cochlear implant from November 1, 2011 through December 31, 2011, is eligible for a free 2-year extension of
MED-EL’s warranty.
The additional 2 years applies to the cochlear implant system’s external equipment, including any audio processors. With the extension, patients will have a full 5-year warranty on the external components.
In addition to the time window for implantation, MED-El said that it must receive the external equipment registration form within 30 days of initial activation.
The warranty extension applies to all implants that MED-EL offers, including PULSAR, SONATA, and the new MED-EL CONCERT implant.
