Chicago — Beltone is adding the wireless 66DW Mini-BTE and Beltone True new custom models to its Beltone True line. Both product extensions add to the company’s latest generation of Bluetooth-compatible hearing instruments.
“Our research has shown that patients want hearing aids that are increasingly customizable, smaller, and fit their individual needs,” says John Cariola, director of product management, in a press statement. “With the new custom models and Mini-BTE model, we now have more options and exceptional technology to give patients what they want.”
The new wireless 66DW Mini-BTE incorporates all of Beltone True’s benefits into the smallest, full-feature mini-BTE ever offered by Beltone. This new model can be configured to either open or standard fittings, offering more options for the patient’s individual needs. Because it’s wireless, it can also connect to Beltone’s Direct Line accessories, Phone Link, TV Link, and Remote Control. The 66W Mini-BTE also comes in a variety of colors designed to match different skin tones and hair colors. Beltone’s NanoBlock is another standard feature, protecting the instrument from humidity and moisture.
The True line’s new custom devices are specifically crafted and finished by hand for each individual for more comfortable fit and better hearing. These models are available in a range of custom form factors, including a CIC, mini-canal, canal, half-shell, low-profile, and full shell. Directional microphones are available in larger shell styles. As with the Mini-BTE, all custom models also come with NanoBlock.
The Beltone True platform received the International CES Innovations 2011 Design and Engineering Award, earning top honors in the health and wellness category.
