The infrared assistive listening solution now meets federal procurement standards, simplifying purchasing for government and regulated industry projects.
Listen Technologies announced the availability of a Trade Agreements Act (TAA) compliant version of its ListenIR assistive listening system. The new TAA-compliant option provides integrators and customers with a solution that meets the requirements for US government contracts, federally funded projects, and contracts in regulated industries like healthcare.
ListenIR is an assistive listening solution that transmits audio securely using infrared technology, making it suitable for environments where confidentiality is important, such as courtrooms, boardrooms, and medical facilities.
Significance for Federal and Regulated Venues
Compliance with TAA requirements signifies that a product meets specific standards for performance, quality, and safety. As an approved vendor on the US General Services Administration (GSA) Schedule, Listen Technologies has included its TAA-compliant ListenIR SKUs in GSA Advantage!, the federal government’s online procurement system.
This listing allows federal agencies and other authorized buyers to purchase compliant ListenIR solutions through established acquisition pathways with pre-negotiated pricing, which can streamline project timelines.
“As a TAA-compliant solution, ListenIR is trusted for use in government and institutional applications, meeting stringent standards for quality, security, and reliability,” says Mikey Shaffer, vice president of North American sales at Ampetronic | Listen Technologies, in a release. “From large auditoriums to courtrooms to smaller spaces, ListenIR offers a secure, consistent, and clear audio experience, empowering everyone to fully engage in their surroundings with confidence.”
System Operation and Availability
The ListenIR system consists of transmitters, radiators, receivers, and accessories. It connects to a venue’s primary audio source, and a transmitter sends the audio signal to radiators, which emit the infrared signal. Listeners use ListenIR receivers to hear the audio clearly, with background noise filtered out.
The TAA-compliant ListenIR products are available now and are shipping globally.
“ListenIR has always delivered exceptional sound quality, privacy, and ease of use for a variety of venues. With the addition of TAA-compliant ListenIR, integrators and customers now have a solution that meets federal procurement requirements while maintaining the performance they expect,” says Shaffer, in a release.
