According to Serendipity Hearing, Gililland and Lunsford decided they wanted to continue to strengthen the brand they and other former Sonus franchisees had worked so hard to build. They pursued and subsequently acquired registered trademark rights for Sonus and Sonus Hearing Care Professionals, and now offer licensee agreements for Sonus.

Serendipity Hearing Inc now holds the trademarks for Sonus, Sonus Hearing Care Professionals, Sonus Solutions, and Sonus NetworkTM.
