Audiology Systems, a US distributor of GN Otometrics products such as Aurical, Madsen, and ICS, as well as other leading audiology and vestibular equipment, announced new dates for a series of training courses designed to help clinicians and hearing care professionals maximize the use of hearing and balance instrumentation. According to the announcement, course attendees can earn from 0.4 to 2.1 CEUs.
Audiology Systems reports that on September 23, 2015, a 7-hour hands-on evoked potential (EP) training course will provide in-depth training on frequency specific threshold assessment techniques, a troubleshooting practicum, and instruction on using EP to assess both the auditory and vestibular systems. On September 24, 2015, a 7-hour hands-on VNG/ENG training course will address the advances in VNG/ENG. Clinicians who perform VNG/ENG testing benefit from ongoing training that will enable them to apply the new technology to existing procedures. Key training areas of this course include test protocol development, data interpretation and presentation, and reporting test results. On September 25 and October 16, 2015, a 4-hour hands-on impulse training will be available for audiologists, ENTs and healthcare professionals who perform head impulse testing to assess the dizzy patient. This course includes incorporation of head impulse testing into the diagnostic process for the dizzy patient, data collection, and interpretation.
