Oticon Inc, Somerset, NJ, has announced that Gary Rosenblum has been named as the company’s new president, effective on Monday, October 3. He succeeds Peer Lauritsen who is retiring after more than 40 years of service to Oticon.
Rosenblum joins Oticon with a strong background in consumer-driven medical devices. In his most recent role, he served as Vice President, Enterprise Customers for Johnson & Johnson, where he managed the J&J portfolio of Medical Devices, Pharmaceuticals, and Consumer Products for leading hospital systems across the West Coast.
Prior to that position, Rosenblum led the channel development organization of the Johnson & Johnson Diabetes Care franchise, representing the blood glucose monitoring and insulin pump businesses to customers across multiple channels. He also brings considerable experience in brand strategy from his work in global and US-based marketing roles for Abbott Labs and Pfizer Consumer Healthcare. Rosenblum holds an MBA in Marketing & Business Strategy from Cornell University-S.C. Johnson Graduate School of Management. He earned his undergraduate degree from Washington University in St Louis.
“Gary is a proven leader with deep experience that is aligned with Oticon’s key business areas of Marketing, Sales and Customer Experience,” said Oticon A/S President Søren Nielsen in a press statement. “His success in running a multi-channel business in the medical device space and rich understanding of how healthcare customers are adapting to a changing marketplace have prepared him well for a smooth transition into Oticon and the hearing care industry. We are confident that Gary is the right person to continue to drive forward Oticon’s leadership in innovation, product quality and customer support.”
