Oticon, Smorum, Denmark, announced the appointment of Ole Asboe Jørgensen as the new president of the Oticon Brand, Global. President and CEO of William Demant Group, Søren Nielsen, will hand over full responsibility of the Oticon global brand to the former VP of Global Sales & Marketing. Jørgensen is promoted to president after eight and half years as an integral member of the Oticon family, as part of the William Demant Group.

Jørgensen is appointed President to reinforce the strengthening of the Oticon deliverables following the successful global launch of the world’s first internet connected hearing aid, Oticon Opn™, which has received several awards and accolades for innovation, design, and its Open Sound Experience.

“Ole Asboe Jørgensen will lead Oticon on the next stage of its prosperous journey and champion the award-winning Oticon product portfolio, including the revolutionary Oticon Opn,” said Nielsen. “He has been fundamental in driving the success of Oticon in recent years and will continue the growth of both the brand and business to ensure it remains the leading powerhouse in hearing care. Jørgensen first joined Oticon in 2009 as part of a newly formed management team and held responsibility for the global marketing of Oticon brands; prior to Oticon, he held management positions in the medical device and advertising industries for 20 years. In 2011, Jørgensen added product development to his duties, becoming the Vice President of Product Development and Marketing. He was lastly appointed Vice President of Oticon Sales and Marketing in 2013. For the past four years, Jørgensen has been accountable for global sales and marketing and managed global sales models and systems, in addition to continuing the responsibilities he held from his previous roles within Oticon.
