The British Irish Hearing Instrument Manufacturers Association (BIHIMA) has posted a statement on its website regarding the coronavirus pandemic.

In the statement, the organization states, β€œAll BIHIMA members are working as hard as possible to ensure that hearing instrument users still have access to vital hearing technology and audiology services, although inevitably there has been a need to prioritize urgent care.”

BIHIMA supports the government’s recommendation that community audiology clinics are exempt from general retail closures, as well as the British Academy of Audiology’s (BAA) COVID-19 guidelines, which offer alternatives to face-to-face interactions.
