Summary:
Four innovative start-ups from Germany, Denmark, and Belgium will showcase cutting-edge hearing technologies at the 69th EUHA International Congress in October 2025, highlighting advances in 3D ear scanning, rapid 3D printing, audiological data management, and AI-driven speech enhancement.

Key Takeaways:

  1. Technological innovation: Start-ups will present breakthroughs including non-contact 3D ear canal measurement, ultra-fast 3D printing, and AI-based speech filters.
  2. Support for new ventures: EUHA and BVHI are providing start-ups with free access and visibility to the international hearing acoustics community.
  3. Interactive platform: The EUHA Live-Area offers attendees personal dialogue and live presentations from emerging companies at the heart of the congress.

Four international start-ups from Germany, Denmark, and Belgium have been selected to present their business concepts at the 69th EUHA International Congress of Hearing Aid Acousticians in Nuremberg.

Selected Start-Ups

AKmira Optronics from Germany is presenting an optical, non-contact 3D measurement of the auditory canal. This is new and facilitates the production of earmolds.

The Danish company Perfi Technologies will be presenting an ultra-fast 3D printing technology developed by researchers at the Technical University of Denmark.

The start-up OtoConsult from Belgium is presenting the “Audiqueen” tool for managing and organizing audiological measurement results. It can be seamlessly integrated into a variety of peripheral measuring devices, such as audiometers, so that test results can be automatically imported into the system immediately after they have been carried out.

Augmented Hearing from Denmark is presenting AI-supported speech enhancement for speech communication environments. This is an advanced real-time audio filter that improves speech intelligibility. It separates speech and noise in live audio streams.

Offering a Platform

For EUHA President Beate Gromke, it is important to give young companies a platform at the congress. “Take the opportunity and find out about the start-ups’ innovations,” she urges. “The congress is ideal for obtaining first-hand information in personal dialogue.”

Dr Stefan Zimmer, chairman of the BVHI, adds: “The international industry exhibition offers young companies optimal conditions for their market entry. Our offer for start-ups allows newcomers to introduce themselves to the global hearing acoustics community free of charge and without complications.”

The start-ups will be presenting in the EUHA Live-Area, which is centrally located in Hall 7. As part of the EUHA Live-Area stage program, they will give short presentations on their business concepts.
