The move unifies existing and future audiology and vestibular diagnostic solutions under the legacy brand name Otometrics.
Natus Sensory Inc has announced the restoration of the Otometrics brand, which will now serve as the parent brand for the company’s Hearing & Balance solutions portfolio. The change is intended to unify all existing and future hearing and balance solutions under a single, recognized identity for audiology and vestibular professionals.
The company’s Hearing & Balance business builds on the legacy of Otometrics, which was acquired by Natus Medical Incorporated in 2016. Following the formation of Natus Sensory Inc as an independent company in January 2025, the restoration of the Otometrics name is a strategic decision to reconnect with the brand.
Under the move, established product lines including Madsen audiometers, Aurical fitting and verification systems, and ICS vestibular diagnostics will be brought together under the Otometrics name. The portfolio covers solutions for hearing assessment, hearing instrument fitting and verification, balance diagnostics, and digital ear scanning.
“The Otometrics brand has a strong heritage in our industry, and bringing it back reflects both where we come from and where we are going,” says Peter Reimer, CEO of Natus Sensory, in a release. “We are building on a trusted foundation while investing in new innovations that will support clinicians and improve patient outcomes across hearing and balance care.”
The company noted that its Newborn Care portfolio, which includes solutions such as ALGO, RetCam, NicView, and neoBLUE, will continue to be marketed under the Natus Sensory brand name. Natus Sensory is also planning a pipeline of new Otometrics developments for 2026 and beyond.
